In addition to incorporating more nature inspired décor, a top trend for this summer includes adding more natural colors to your home. This can include adding in a wooden accent wall to your bathroom, living room, or even your kitchen. Sage green is also in, an excellent color to paint your bathroom or add in as an accent wall in almost any room in the house.

Spa bathrooms

Self care is important for everyone, especially when hot summer days may be draining some of your energy. Spa bathrooms are a hot trend this year, giving you a special place in your home for destressing and rejuvenating. How can you add a spa bathroom in your home? It’s not as hard as you might think. Low and warm lighting (think yellows, not harsh fluorescent lightbulbs) can help create a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. Candles, whether fake or real can also help. Consider painting your bathroom in natural colors, think blues, browns or greens. And of course, adding in a high performance shower/bath can help create the perfect spa experience in your home.

Multifunctional spaces

Multifunctional spaces are also in this summer as people spend more time at home. Dining rooms might double as work spaces, and bedrooms as study spaces for your kids. Although you might have a multi-functional room in your home, it’s still important to separate the areas within that room and create a peaceful environment.
