Red started with William Ryan Homes near its inception in the early 1990s, asked to lead the opening of the Florida market to carry on the Ryan family name. Florida would later become the largest market for the company. And throughout his career, Red did everything from land development to hiring subcontractors to managing communities. “I started as a superintendent, but I quickly learned that being part of a new company meant assuming various roles.”

“Like the Ryan family, the Mugnai family loves this industry and loves working together,” Red said.
And Red’s experience with William Ryan Homes can be summed up in three lessons learned, which are applicable to any company in any industry that seeks to produce an exceptional product that separates it from others. “Invest heavily in training, meet often with supervisors in the field, and motivate employees to live up to their potential,” Red said. And his personal goal with the company never changed over time. “I wanted to be the best production manager in the homebuilding industry.”
