Chris Bernier and Damian Ellis have bought four new homes over the past few years from William Ryan Homes Tampa Division, with the homebuilder meeting the couple’s changing needs.
The couple, nearing their 25th anniversary together, signed for their newest home on Chris’ birthday and were thrilled when William Ryan Homes Tampa Division President Jeff Thorson visited to wish Chris a happy birthday and congratulate them on their fourth purchase. “It’s great to feel so welcome,” Damian said.
Great Floor Plans, Quality Construction, and Neighborhoods with Mature Trees Appeal to this Couple
Chris and Damian like the homebuilder’s floor plans and home elevations as well as the fact that their neighborhood has low HOA fees and is not in a CDD. Additionally, they give credit to William Ryan Homes Tampa Division for building excellent quality homes. “We’ve built with other builders before but are most pleased with our homes by William Ryan Homes Tampa Division,” Chris said.
Also, trees are important to them. “We want to live in a new home community that has mature trees,” Chris said, noting that William Ryan Homes Tampa Division didn’t start by razing the entire property and leveling the trees. “Big, beautiful trees make a big difference to us.”
Their story with William Ryan Homes started in Land O’ Lakes at Lakeshore Ranch, a 481-acre gated master-planned community in a country-like atmosphere. The couple purchased their first and second homes from the homebuilder in the William Ryan Homes community, which sold out in 2019.
Next, the couple decided to move into William Ryan Home's gated-community Villa d’Este in the Villages at Cypress Creek, putting them in the popular and growing Sun City Center area. Sun City Center, located near Ruskin, attracts folks seeking a small-town vibe while being only a short drive to Tampa. The well-established master-planned golf course community, The Villages of Cypress Creek, has a family-owned and operated championship golf course and dining facility that serves as a hub of recreational and social activity.
As the couple’s needs shifted toward downsizing, they decided to move into a smaller home, but stay in the same community. Their fourth purchase, currently being built, is the Canaveral model, a 4-bedroom, 2-bath home with 2,181 square feet, which is smaller than their current home but still has a three-car garage and a larger lot.
Villa d’Este in the Villages at Cypress Creek offers larger homes with 3-car garages as well as a community pool and cabana. Many homesites have golf course or conservation views. Home prices in the gated neighborhood range from the low- to mid-$300's, with home sizes ranging from 1,895 to 3,270 square feet.
Adding to the quality, the homes are green-certified, designed and built with energy efficiency and sustainability top of mind, which means lower utility bills and cleaner living. In fact, William Ryan Homes Tampa is one of the top homebuilders of National Green Building Standard (NGBS) green-certified homes in the Tampa Bay area, having completed nearly 500 green homes since 2016.
