Monona Grove school district is a medium sized district on the East side of Madison made up of a mix of Monona and Cottage Grove residents which is where the name Monona Grove comes from. This district has undergone consistent growth in the past 10 years in conjunction to the rapid growth of Cottage Grove. The district has roughly 3,500 students in K-12 with a 14:1 student to teacher ratio. Monona Grove has opened a new elementary school in the last year that sits right next to the middle school and serves students right in Cottage Grove.

While the main focus of school is obviously to educate there are many lessons that can be learned in extracurricular activities. Sun Prairie boasts a high rating for academics, clubs, athletics and diversity respectively.

Sun Prairie has built several new school facilities at varying grade levels in the past 10 years and are currently finishing the brand new Sun Prairie West High School that will be open for the fall 2022 school year!
