3 New Home Communities are Meeting Strong Demand in the Tampa Bay Area

Low interest rates and increased interest in larger homes is fueling the skyrocketing demand for new single-family homes around the country. Despite the pandemic, new housing starts hit a 14-year high in December 2020. In fact, mortgage finance company Freddie Mac recently reported the U.S. housing market is 3.8 million single-family homes short of what is needed to meet the nation’s demand, representing a 52% rise in the nation’s home shortage compared with 2018.

Prices start in the high-$200s.

Cross Creek in Parrish, Florida

Cross Creek, located in Parrish, is less than two miles away from U.S. 301, I-75, I-275, the Sunshine Skyway and the Fort Hamer Bridge – all of which provide easy access to Bradenton, Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tampa.

The homes have 4 bedrooms and 2-4 baths available in one- or two-story homes. Prices for the community’s 47 new homes start in the mid-$400s for houses ranging in size from 2,549 to 3,800 square feet. Coming soon, Tea Olive Terrace at the Fairways, located in Palmetto, is less than three miles from I-75, which provides easy access to Tampa and Orlando.
