Over the last year, Chicago-based William Ryan Homes has been in stealth mode in North Texas acquiring 1,500 lots across nine North Texas communities. Now, officially, the company has relaunched operations in the DFW market, which it left in 2009.
Model homes are now under construction in Denton in the Preserve at Pecan Creek community, in Anna at West Crossing, in Royse City at Creekside, and in Forney in the Devonshire neighborhood. Communities in Fort Worth and McKinney will open later in the summer and a community in Celina will open in the fall. The neighborhoods in Midlothian and Celina will open in 2024.
“DFW has been relatively insulated from the recent economic downturn and we saw that as a huge opportunity,” said Scott Dettmer, who joined William Ryan Homes in 2022 as DFW division manager. “We’re ramping up to build 500 homes per year in the most desirable master-planned neighborhoods. Our focus on architectural design, science-based building systems and our commitment to operational efficiencies all allow us to deliver the visual appeal, quality, livability and value that today’s homebuyers demand.”
William Ryan has built more than 13,000 homes in four states and in several markets including Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Tampa, and Southwest Florida.
