Job Responsibilities

High Quality Assembly

  • Take emotional ownership of the Project.  This is YOUR turf.  Let all the Vendors know that quality, cleanliness and commitment to schedule matter on your job.  You set the bar, high or low, for all vendors in the project.
  • Understand that the Vendor Agreement is a specific Legal Obligation - not a best case scenario. Fully understand each vendor’s Scope Of Work, including the smallest detail including the daily clean-up commitment.
  • Inspect what you expect.  Every WRH job should be inspected at least once per day and preferably twice (am and pm) with the purpose of having the current phase finished completely and accurately.  Do not allow “come-backs”.

Committed Building Schedule

  • Create a sense of Urgency for your Project.  Jobs that stay on schedule are more profitable for everyone, which makes for a preferred project, which attracts higher quality and quantity of staffing.
  • Understand that the Vendor Agreement is a specific Legal Obligation - not a best case scenario. Fully understand each vendor’s commitment to fully staff the job and push their team to meet their committed completion days.
  • The first words to a sub every day should be “I need you finished and cleaned-up by ____.  Do you need anything from me to help make this happen?”.
  • Strive to avoid being required to revise your BuilderTrend schedules.  Force the original target date to be met and thus just check Task completed. This is much easier on you.
