Growing Green in the Valley of the Sun
Family-owned William Ryan Homes is growing. The private home building company is launching its third community in the impressive master planned community of Estrella, located in Goodyear, Arizona. The companys emphasis is on customer service and saving the customer some green.
Committed to green building, William Ryan Homes includes energy saving features such as blown-in wall insulation, high performance Low E windows to reduce heat gain by reflecting the Suns heat, use of sustainable wood products, conditioned attic spaces which results in a tighter building envelope, electric heat pumps, water conserving plumbing fixtures and Energy Star rated appliances. We are building greener futures and we are proud of that. The bottom line is it saves our customers money in the long run and is good for the environment, said Corbett McCallum, Vice President of William Ryan Homes and the head of its Arizona operations.
As a smaller sized home building company, we really get to know our buyers. We routinely seek their feedback to help us constantly improve our designs and operations. Our new homes are a reflection of that input, he noted. That customer focus was recently validated by a story in the prestigious Harvard Business Review. The story stated that businesses should start asking customers what they want products to do for them. That way of thinking is nothing new for William Ryan Homes. Our homes have to live great and the only way to accomplish that is by asking our customers, noted McCallum. This mindset is reflected in their Customer Driven by Design philosophy.
